How to Play Kribbirk
Kribbirk is a daily pursuit puzzle. Each day a suspect crosses the fictional English town of Bellowsford in six moves. Your job is to reconstruct their route and work out where they finished — in eight attempts.
The approach
The game works best when you consider the likely destination first, then plot a route towards it. You know the starting point and the handful of candidate destinations on the map — pick where you think the suspect finished, then build a six-move route to reach it.
- Choose a destination. Select where you think the suspect finished from the candidate locations on the map.
- Plot a six-move route. Tap compass directions to fill the six moves. The map previews your route as you build it.
- Submit your route. Control checks each move and the destination together.
- Close the pursuit. Get all six moves and the destination right before your eight attempts run out.
Eight compass directions
Each move is one of eight compass directions: North, North-East, East, South-East, South, South-West, West and North-West. A route is exactly six moves long.
Reading the feedback
After each attempt, every move in your route is marked:
- ✓Correct direction in the correct position. This move is in the route and in the right place.
- ≈Direction exists but in the wrong position. This move is somewhere in the route, just not here.
- ✗Direction is not in the route at all. Eliminate it from future attempts.
How destination and route work together
Your destination guess and your six-move route are checked together. A route that leaves the map is invalid — adjust it and resubmit. Use Undo to remove your last move. Narrow down the directions with each attempt, confirm the destination, and close the case.
