1. Who we are
KRIBBIRK (“we”, “us”) is a daily Bellowsford pursuit game published by Bellowsford Mysteries. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you play KRIBBIRK at kribbirk.com, in your web browser on desktop or mobile. KRIBBIRK is a website; we do not currently offer native iOS or Android apps.
2. Information we collect
- Account information. When you register, we store your email address and a display name if you choose to provide one.
- Gameplay data. Your pursuit results, streaks, win/loss record, and attempt distribution, linked to your account so you can track progress and access the archive.
- Usage data. Anonymous analytics such as pages viewed and buttons tapped, which help us understand how the game is played and improve it.
- Local storage. If you play without an account, your stats are stored locally in your browser. These are transferred to your account if you later register.
- Purchase information. If you buy The 1960s Casebook, our payment provider (Stripe) handles your card details. We never see or store your card number. We keep a record of the purchase — your email address, the amount, the date and the payment reference — so that we can grant and restore your access to the Casebook.
3. How we use your information
- To operate your account and record your pursuit results.
- To maintain your streak, statistics, and archive access.
- To improve the game and fix technical issues.
- To process and verify your purchase of The 1960s Casebook and grant you access to it.
- To send service emails (such as password resets) where necessary.
We do not sell your personal data. If you give marketing consent, we may occasionally email you about new features or pursuits; you can withdraw consent at any time.
4. Legal basis
We process your data on the basis of your consent (when you register and when you opt in to marketing), the performance of our contract with you (providing the game), and our legitimate interests in operating and improving the service.
5. Data sharing
We use trusted service providers (such as hosting and analytics platforms) to run KRIBBIRK, and Stripe to process Casebook payments. These providers process data on our behalf and under strict confidentiality obligations. We do not share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing.
6. Data retention
We keep your account and gameplay data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account yourself at any time from the menu in the game. Deleting your account removes your login, your record and streaks, your pursuit history, your Casebook progress, and any bonus unlocks, and clears the copy of your statistics held in your browser. Records relating to a paid purchase of The 1960s Casebook — the amount, the date and the payment reference — are retained where we are required to keep them for tax and accounting purposes.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can delete your account and your gameplay data yourself at any time from the menu in the game. For any other request, or for a copy of the data we hold about you, contact us at the address below.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard practices.
9. Children
KRIBBIRK is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will indicate the date of the last revision at the top of this page and, where changes are significant, provide a more prominent notice.
11. Contact
If you have questions about this policy, please contact us via the Bellowsford website at bellowsford.com.
